SAMPLE MENU FOR PANCREATIC PANCREATITIS

Pancreatitis is a fairly common disease. A distinctive feature of this disease is acute pain in the stomach, as well as impaired quality of the pancreas.

A special (therapeutic) diet has been developed to treat this disease. It consists only of a specially selected menu and allowed dishes. They will not cause any harm to the affected organism. What does a weekly sample menu look like?

1. Diet for chronic inflammation of the gland

With a disease like pancreatitis, a frugal diet is prescribed that completely excludes the use of alcoholic beverages, sweet, fatty, fried foods, as well as coarse fiber, simple carbohydrates and extractives. Nutritionists recommend eating up to 6 meals a day, portion sizes are better absorbed and should be small to avoid overloading the pancreas.

Food should be steamed, boiled or steamed, and can rarely be cooked. It must be cooled to a temperature of 30 degrees before use. This way you can prevent stomach irritation.

Dietary salt should be used sparingly and, if possible, eliminate it completely until the body functions normally. Fish, meat and dairy products are used as staple products. The energy value of the daily menu should never exceed 1800 kcal.

Prefer liquid or semi-liquid foods, such as soups, mashed potatoes, cereals, etc. it is best to give. A strict diet for pancreatic disease should be followed for about 3 weeks after stopping the attack. After that, the menu can be constantly expanded until you return to your usual diet.

Cereals, vegetable soups, boiled / fresh vegetables, dry bread, meat, boiled eggs, poultry and fish (only low-fat varieties are allowed), dairy products, non-acidic fruits and berries, flour products, creamy foods during the diet/ vegetable oils, natural jellies, fresh juices and compotes.

Never forget the water. It is recommended to consume up to 2 liters of clean water per day. It will restore balance and improve bowel function.

In case of disease exacerbation, the use of carbonated water should be minimized or eliminated altogether. In addition, canned foods, strong broths, fast food, smoked / spicy foods, breads, cocoa, sour fruits and berries, marinades, coffee, cakes, fried or boiled eggs, fatty meats, fish.

2. Nutrition rules

There are a number of rules to follow:

  • Eat only one food (although the best is the same);
  • Keep your small parts;
  • Eliminate smoked, sweet, fried, salty foods from your diet completely;
  • Try to eat as little fresh food as possible (eg vegetables);
  • Drink as much fluid as possible (water, green tea, decoctions).

Dietary guidelines for the acute course of the disease are similar to the chronic version. In the chronic course of the disease, fasting lasts for several days.

3. Sample menu for a week

The menu is signed for a period of time, depending on the type of disease: in acute pancreatitis - up to 9 months, chronic for several years. At the same time, alcohol (even in small amounts), spices and smoked meats are excluded from the menu. Chocolate and other sweet foods are also prohibited (you can only get a small marshmallow or a teaspoon of jelly from sweets).

The menu is selected taking into account the characteristics of the patient's body, but also contains all the substances that are useful for the body.

Here is a list of foods that are allowed to be included in the diet:

  • Vegetables. The menu can contain almost any vegetable (except legumes and cabbage and others that cause swelling). These vegetables can be used to make a variety of side dishes and soups;
  • cottage cheese. This product can be eaten for breakfast or as a snack. You can make cheese cakes or stews from it;
  • Compotes, fruit jelly. It can be apricots, apples, pears. If a person has an inflammation, the pear should be removed from the menu;
  • Fermented dairy products. All foods should be low in fat. Salads are allowed to be filled with sour cream no more than twice a week;
  • Eggs. The menu may include a steamed omelet or a boiled egg, but without the yolks;
  • Meat. It is best to choose boiled chicken or steamed fish;
  • You can eat pasta no more than once a week;
  • Grain. It is best to stop your choice on rice, oatmeal or semolina.

Monday

It is usually best to skip meals on the first day. Only water is consumed during the day. If the acute pain does not bother the patient, the sample menu may look like this:

  • You can have a cup of green tea for breakfast (you can add a teaspoon of honey to the drink). 150 grams of semolina or rice porridge is also allowed;
  • For the second breakfast you can eat pumpkin puree (50 g), steamed fish or chicken cutlet, hips drink;
  • For lunch, you can eat vegetable or chicken broth with a small loaf of bread;
  • In the afternoon you can drink a glass of kefir or jelly for a snack;
  • The meal consists of steamed omelet and beet salad;
  • You can drink a glass of water with honey before going to bed.

Tuesday

If pancreatitis is painless, you can cook any porridge for breakfast (semolina, oats or buckwheat).

  • The first breakfast consists of oatmeal cooked in milk, a piece of cheese and a glass of gel (without added sugar);
  • At lunch you can eat 100 grams of cottage cheese (1% fat), which can be mixed with an apple;
  • For lunch, you can eat boiled rice with a piece of fish. Unsuccessfully evaporated;
  • In the afternoon, you can eat apple or carrot puree for a snack;
  • Dinner may consist of a diet vinaigrette with a small piece of bread (this can be replaced with a loaf of bread).

Wednesday

  • On the third day of the diet, it is allowed to eat salads with sour cream from apples and beets (it should be low in fat). You can drink green tea.
  • For lunch, you can eat buckwheat porridge with a small piece of butter and bread;
  • Lunch consists of rice soup and 2 pieces of cheese;
  • In the afternoon, you can drink a glass of fermented boiled milk or kefir for a snack;
  • For dinner, a person can make mashed potatoes (without adding milk), cook vegetables and eat a slice of bread.

Thursday

  • For breakfast, you can eat oatmeal with a small piece of butter. In addition, still mineral water is allowed;
  • You can have an omelet and steamed cutlet for lunch. Alternatively, you can drink a glass of milk (fat ratio 1 or 2, 5%);
  • You can eat a bowl of soup with a small piece of fish at lunch. You can cook pumpkin or carrots as a side dish;
  • You can cook an apple for a snack in the afternoon;
  • The meal consists of cottage cheese-rice pudding and weak tea (you can add milk).

Friday

  • In the morning you can eat rice porridge and boiled eggs (should be without yolks);
  • The second breakfast consists of tea and a small piece of cheese;
  • Lunch can consist of home-made noodle soup, pumpkin porridge or carrot porridge. You can also drink a glass of milk or tea;
  • In the afternoon, the snack consists of low-fat cottage cheese with sour cream;
  • At mealtimes, you can pamper yourself with a vegetable salad dressed with butter (preferably olive), baked apples and a cup of tea with a teaspoon of sugar.

Saturday

  • You can make a steamed omelet with vegetables for your first breakfast. A glass of milk can be added to the prepared dish;
  • For the second breakfast, you can cook corn porridge with fish (boiled);
  • You can have milk soup and green tea for lunch;
  • In the afternoon, you can have a hip drink for a snack;
  • You can cook vegetables with potatoes (boiled), fruit jelly or pudding.

Market

After reducing the symptoms of the disease, you can diversify your menu.

  • You can eat a small piece of bread butter and cottage cheese for breakfast. You can drink them all with a glass of green tea;
  • If a person has a mild pain, you can cook a small chicken with carrots for dinner. Alternatively, you can eat a small piece of bread. You can drink it with sugar-free tea or mineral water;

  3. Vegetable soup. To prepare the soup you need pepper (1 piece), broccoli, a small pumpkin, cauliflower. Vegetables should be washed and cut into cubes. Pour the vegetables with water (1. 5 liters) and cook until fully cooked. Water is poured (not all). Puree the soup using a blender.
  4. Fish soup. To cook, you need to take 0, 5 kg of low-fat fish (you can use cod, pike perch or pike), pour water and put on fire. Cook until fully cooked, after which the fish should be separated from the bones and chopped in a blender. Add a little butter to the heated milk and wait until completely melted. After that, the broth is brought to a boil. It is important that the broth does not boil. Put in the fish and cook for a few more minutes. Our soup is ready.
